What you can actually do

The signature ride is the Black Bull Run, a 565-metre alpine coaster with 12 twists and two tunnels reaching around 25mph. The Forest Flyover is a 250-metre zipline over the coaster, and a longer 700-metre River Rapid zipline has been added. The One Pass bundles roughly three hours across the high and low ropes course, climbing wall, free-fall fan descender and a minimum of two coaster rides. Age and height limits vary by activity: low ropes from age 5 and 1 metre tall, high ropes from age 10 and 1.4 metres, and a weight limit around 120kg. The coaster takes younger children from age 3 when riding with an adult. Everything is supervised, and every under-18 must have a participating adult with them.

The story

About the centre

Colin Glen is run by the Colin Glen Trust, a charity built around cross-community work that has turned the forest park on Belfast's western hills into one of Ireland's leading outdoor adventure attractions. It has steadily added world-class outdoor kit, including Ireland's first alpine coaster, the Black Bull Run, alongside ziplines, a ropes course and a TrackMan golf facility, spread across three entrances to the forest.
